Job Description: The Assistant Finance Manager role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on financial accounting, reporting, and business partnering for a portfolio of real estate assets. The position requires a fully qualified Accountant with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in the real estate sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial matters and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and report financial matters including management reports, financial statements, and analysis of results.
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with auditors for group reporting and statutory audit.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers and review their submissions.
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements for audit, handling tax matters, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to promote efficiency and accuracy within the finance team.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects driving process improvement such as SAP implementation.

Skills Required:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and/or audit experience.
  • Well-versed in local accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Experience in SAP is advantageous.
  • Experience in the real estate or financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and independent working skills.
  • Hands-on finance operations experience with good accounting knowledge.

Day-to-day Of The Role

  • Responsible for the timely preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters including management reports, financial statements, analysis of results, budgeting, forecasting, EVA, Corporate tax, and GST reporting, audit schedules, intercompany reconciliation, and checking of payment records.
  • Ensure timely preparation of a full set of financial statements for group reporting and statutory audit, managing the audit process, including liaising with auditors.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers and review their submissions.
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements for audit, handling tax matters, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications
