Assistant Accountant (12 months FTC)

Salary 28,000 - 32,000

Medlock Partners are delighted to partnering with well established manufacturing business based in Wigan looking for an Assistant Accountant for a 12 month FTC.

I am keen to speak with enthusiastic and hands-on Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or AAT Qualified Assistant Accountant who will provide support to the team for 12 months.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

• Generate and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting in month-end duties
• Assist with audit tasks when necessary
• Submit monthly VAT returns
• Collaborate in Budgeting and forecasting
• Support in the preparation and analysis of currency forecasting
• Regularly reconcile bank accounts as needed
• Maintain customer information on the system, including adding suppliers, verifying bank details, and issuing credit notes
• Sustain accurate stock records for the business
• Compile Flash forecasts
• Provide KPIs as requested by the management team
• Conduct payment runs and process payment requests
• Address inquiries pertaining to Sales ledger, Purchase ledger, and Stock
• Conduct weekly debt chasing and oversee debt management
• Support in stock takes

The Ideal candidates will be studying either ACCA, CIMA or be AAT qualified as well as being confident and assertive with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels. You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results.
