As part of this role, the candidate should expect to carry out work within the following areas:

• To provide professional, accurate advice to line manager, County and District members and to in house staff
• To attend countywide sites, to assess tree condition and necessary works and advise
• To instruct works to our tree
• To manage own site inspection workloads.
• To advise on development schemes, S278, S38 and planning
• To remain up to date with current industry legislation and
• To maintain good communication between the Client and

To meet project deadlines and provide accurate and proportionate arboricultural advice.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent
• Arboricultural Association Technicians Certificate, or equivalent (or working towards this).
• Arboriculture experience, with particular experience in tree work or planting, according to post, together with relevant practical experience.
• Practical knowledge of tree biology and structure, plant identification, tree pests and diseases, law in relation to Highway trees, planting practices and standards, arboricultural costings, the environmental impact of and on trees and awareness of current
• Competent IT
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report

Understanding of contract documentation and management
