The Position

The duties you will be performing as part of your role:

  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Recruitment Manager to orchestrate an innovative Adult and Community Learning programme for the Royal Borough of Greenwich, aligning with the borough's vision for healthy, integrated, and resilient communities.
  • Work closely with RGB to design and implement engaging full-cost programmes under the ACL contract, ensuring the achievement of income targets and contributing to Progress Into Work and Progress In Work initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Recruitment Manager to ensure the ACL contract's value is maximized, actively participating in the design, delivery, and recruitment of programs.
  • Assume responsibility for coordinating training programs, quality assurance, and teaching duties, adhering to the College's quality systems.
  • Focus on achieving learner recruitment, success, and client satisfaction targets.
  • Develop and coordinate all ACL curriculum activities, staying responsive to community needs and aligning with the Royal Borough of Greenwich ACL contract requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with key community organizations, collaborating with the Innovation and Recruitment Manager to create tailored programs that meet the Royal Borough of Greenwich's objectives.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students, ensuring a responsive and satisfactory learning experience.
  • Support the course area in implementing regular tracking, reviews, and assessment cycles, monitoring action plans for learners falling behind schedule.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of qualification frameworks, subject specifications, assessment procedures, and national initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Quality Team, Quality Improvement Leader, and the wider Employer Engagement and Innovation team to enhance learner recruitment activities.
  • Be the learners' primary contact for the delivery area, ensuring a responsive provision and high satisfaction with the service delivered.
  • Assist in the production of an annual Self-Assessment Report to support continuous improvement.
  • Deputize for the Innovation and Recruitment Manager in their absence, showcasing leadership skills and maintaining operational continuity.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Hold a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in a field directly relevant to the programmes you will deliver.
  • Possess an IQA or Internal Verifier qualification, showcasing your commitment to quality assurance.
  • Hold a teaching qualification, with a minimum requirement of PTTLS, or actively working towards achieving it.
  • Demonstrate current occupational competence and possess qualifications mandated by a relevant awarding body for effective programme delivery.
  • Showcase your practical expertise by providing evidence of current practice within a vocational setting.
  • Bring a wealth of experience in assessing and training, reflecting your hands-on involvement in these crucial areas.
  • Illustrate your adaptability by highlighting your experience of working in diverse settings, coupled with a proven ability to thrive in environments with flexible working arrangements.
  • Exhibit a track record of successfully delivering to agreed quality and performance targets, underlining your commitment to achieving and surpassing expectations.

Contract Duration: Temporary

Hourly Rate: 35 Per Hour (Umbrella)

Commencement Date: January/February 2024

Work Hours: Hybrid! 37 Hours, Monday - Friday / 9 am - 5 pm
