Job Title: Administrator

Location: Exmouth

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Salary: 24,500- 25,500 per annum DOE

The Role: The Administrator is a varied administrative role that supports the farming enterprise and the wider office. You will be the first port of call answering the phones and redirecting as appropriate, plus helping with reception duties, always presenting the business in a professional manner. You will be responsible for responding to emails, filing, working on research projects, coordinating documents, and providing all the admin duties for the team plus assisting with any ad hoc duties that are requested.

The ability to anticipate things that need doing, keeping an eye out for issues that arise and being prepared to resolve them as they do is essential. The key characteristics required to make a success of this role are proactivity, flexibility and discretion.

Additionally, there is an opportunity if the candidate wants to get involved to update the company's social media and website, updating the platforms as new projects are completed.

Key Duties

  • Being the first port of call for incoming calls
  • Reception cover - welcoming visitors, answering telephone calls in a timely, friendly, professional and proficient manner, redirecting as appropriate
  • Checking diaries and booking appointments
  • Monitoring the meeting room calendars and room bookings
  • Filing and organising documents on in-house system
  • Booking of boardrooms and preparing them for meetings
  • Keeping the reception areas and meeting rooms tidy
  • Dealing and distributing incoming and outgoing post
  • Assisting with administrative tasks to support departments across the business
  • Some website updating and social media tasks
  • General ad-hoc office duties, projects, and activities as and when required

About You

  • Experience of working in administration in an office environment
  • A good working level within all Microsoft packages including Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be highly organised
  • Have the ability to problem solve
