The role is responsible for accounting processes; preparation of manual journals, review of manual journals and accounting processes prepared offshore, month-end close reporting to group, cash management and responding to requests from external auditors. What key accountabilities you will have in the role? Preparation of manual journals for the month-end financial close to agreed month-end timetable and group playbook requirements. Preparation of accounting processes such as intercompany, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations to agreed month end timetable and group playbook requirements. Monitor the quality and timeliness of offshore transaction processing. This will include quality assurance reporting and feedback to senior management. Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet commentary where appropriate, ensuring key drivers are understood. Maintain integrity of balance sheets; ensuring any queried or judgemental items are managed on an ongoing, timely basis. Contribute to process improvement initiatives within scope of work. Responding to queries from key stakeholders What skills and experience will you bring to the role? Part or fully qualified (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent Strong MS Office / Excel and financial systems skills Knowledge of Oracle is highly desirable. Knowledge of accounting standards and financial accounting terms is highly critical.
