Full Time Contract ( 6 months long)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Accountant based in Lewisham . This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.

Our client can offer a hybrid method of working, with the majority being worked from the office.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure compliance with Financial Regulations with respect to budget commitments and payments

To oversee and/or carry out a wide range of tasks as part of financial processes with a high degree of attention to detail, speed and accuracy, including, but not limited to: preparing corporate or directorate revenue; monitoring income and expenditure against budgets; advising on the financial implications on decisions, etc.

Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of budgets, escalating any discrepancies or potential overspend

To carry out options appraisals, reviews, investigations, benchmarking exercises and other complex financial techniques of comparable complexity

Experience and skills required:
Must have a strong record of employment in the areas of children and young people

Must be a Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience

Knowledge of the Dedicated Schools Grant and central education budgets is strongly preferred.

Experience in managing financial data flows, providing appropriate information to various stakeholders and advising said stakeholders on decisions is essential.

Proficiency in the MS Office and the ability to work in fast-paced environments are essential.
